Las Mamblas 2020
Description

A very regional wine with all the concentration, freshness and herbal character of Arlanza. This is a blend of Tempranillo and some other varieties like Mencía and Bobal, with 12 months in varying sizes of French barrels. It offers dark berry fruit and savoury herbal notes, while it is acid driven with enough tannic grip. It is a little wild in the best way. 2024 - 2030.
Spiced cherries, berries and touches of minerals and chalk. Medium- to full-bodied with fine-grained, mouth-coating tannins and a tight, spicy finish. I’d rate it even higher were there a bit more depth on the mid-palate. Drink now or hold. (Zekun Shuai)
