Description

Les raisins Tempranillo du Gran Reserva Millenium proviennent de Viña Alta, où la famille Fernández Rivera a planté ses premiers cépages à la fin des années 60 et au début des années 70. Ce vin rouge reflète la meilleure expression d'un mythe du vin espagnol tel que le Tinto Pesquera. Rouge crianza de 26 mois en fûts de chêne français, il présente un profil plein d'élégance et de soyeux.

Dégustation

Vue
Couleur rouge cerise, robe intense et brillante.
Nez
Arômes fruités (fruits noirs de cassis et de mûre) et notes boisées bien intégrées.
Bouche
Ample, charnu et long, avec une structure tannique ronde et persistante. Il présente une bouche fine et gourmande, avec des notes de fruits mûrs et torréfiés en finale.
Température de service
Il est recommandé de le servir entre 17 et 18 °C.
Accord mets et vin
Idéal pour accompagner tous types de viandes, en particulier les plats de gibier et l'agneau rôti.

The Fernández family has always had a well-deserved reputation for making reds that age gracefully in bottle and this Gran Reserva will certainly do that. Matured in new French wood, it's a focused, still youthful style with flavours of cassis and dark chocolate, plenty of chalky freshness and a layered, focused finish. 2024-30

James Suckling:

Complex nose with plenty of sweet spices, pine cones, vanilla and black walnuts to the blackberries and black mushrooms. A hint of bergamot. Tight and creamy on the palate. Don’t be put off by the wood tannins if you open it and drink it while it is young. The fine-grained tannins mesh nicely with the full-bodied palate. While this is quite plush with an old-school Ribera del Duero style, the quality is still impressive. Needs time and should age well in the next 10-15 years. Better from 2026.

Decanter:

Restrained red and black fruit nose. The palate has great depth, energy and well-managed tannins; complex and rather classic with a long and pleasant aftertaste.
