Radical, dépouillé et sans concession, tel se présente le Bufadors Vinya del Rascarà, unvin Mono-cépage issu d’une parcelle de Xarel·lo, né de sols de calcaire pur et élaboré selon une philosophie stricte d’intervention minimale, sans Sulfites ajoutés ni dosage, et de type «brut nature » ( ). Après 64 mois de patiente maturation sur lies, il séduit par son profil pâle et brillant, son élégant nez méditerranéen aux subtiles notes fumées et son palais aux arômes d’agrumes d’une fraîcheur vibrante.

The 2019 Vinya del Rascarà comes from a single vineyard planted with Xarel.lo in 1999 between Sant Sadurní d’Anoia and Torrelavit on limestone-rich soils with small calcium stones of irregular shape they call “rizoconcreciones.” It fermented with indigenous yeasts and then was put in bottle to referment with must from the same vineyard, and nothing, not even sulfur, was added to the wine at any step of the process. It matured in bottle with the lees for 64 months. It has a moderate 11% alcohol and a pH of 3.3. It's very pale and clean, bright, with a very clean nose with Mediterranean notes, subtle and elegant, delicate with subtle smokiness and a citrus palate denoting very good freshness in a vintage that could be defined as normal (in the past) with good rain and enough ripeness but keeping the balance. In 2019, 5,214 bottles were produced, slowly growing from the 874 in 2013. It was disgorged a week before I tasted it in March 2025, but the rest of the bottles will be disgorged in April.
