Un riesling sec issu du célèbre vignoble de Kallstadter Saumagen, dans la région du Palatinat. Il s'agit d'un vin plus concentré au sein de la gamme, doté d'une belle profondeur et d'une acidité ferme qui lui confère tension et équilibre. Au palais, il allie intensité et élégance, avec des notes d'agrumes, de fruits mûrs et un caractère minéral marqué, offrant en outre un remarquable potentiel d'évolution en bouteille.

Stunning nose of passion fruit and white peach with just a hint of durian lushness and funk. On the sleek palate there’s a beautiful balance of bright, peachy fruit and subtle, chalky character, the tension between them lighting up this very focused and polished dry riesling. Drink or hold.
The 020 Kallstadter Saumagen Riesling Spätlese trocken opens intensely aromatic but pure and fresh on the flinty, slightly reductive nose. Lush and round on the palate, this is a pure, saline, refined, stimulating, mouthwatering and vivacious Saumagen Spätlese with fine mineral acidity and good grip on the long, intense, very elegant and uplifted finish. This is an excellent 2020. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in August 2022.
