Espirbel Alain Quintana nace del ensamblaje de Tempranillo, Garnacha y Malvasía procedentes de una única parcela que le da nombre. Este tinto de perfil rústico, taninos sabrosos y sugerentes notas lácticas en nariz es obra de Alain Quintana, heredero de doce generaciones de viticultores, y uno de los cinco pequeños productores que, junto a Remelluri, integran el interesante proyecto Cosecheros de Labastida.

Alain Quintana's Espirbel vineyard is a 1.5-hectare parcel al 485 metres in Labastida. Combining Tempranillo with lesser quantities of Malvasía and Garnacha, this has a backbone of savoury tannins and acidity, damson and blackberry fruit intensity, subtle oak and slightly chewy, muscular finish. Needs a bit more time in bottle. 2026-33.
The 2020 Espirbel Alain Quintana comes from a family that has been in Labastida for 12 generations. This is from a vineyard in the place called Espirbel, planted with Tempranillo, Garnacha and Malvasía. All the wines fermented in stainless steel and 500-liter barrels and matured in barrels of different sizes for one year. It has some lactic notes, ripe berries and a volatile hint, a little more rustic. It has 14.5% alcohol, with a pH of 3.7. 1,927 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2022. (Luis Guitérrez)
