L'avis des experts
Dark cherries with red berries, underbrush and a stony austerity that turns floral with air. The medium- to full-bodied palate has grip and structure, chiseled and skeletal, with a saline touch in the finish. From a lieu-dit that shares its name with the wine. Drink or hold.
The 2024 Malayeto, their first single-vineyard wine they produced, is pure Garnacha from a plot of 2.39 hectares of 45-year-old vines on complex soils with limestone, gravel and stones. It fermented with indigenous yeasts in a combination of concrete and stainless steel with 10% fermented in open-top pools and pressed before the end of the fermentation, which finished without skins. The wine matured in a 4,000-liter oak vat, eight used 500-liter oak barrels and two 700-liter concrete eggs for 12 months. It's serious, with ripeness and structure but neatly balanced. It comes in at 13.95% alcohol, with a pH of 3.3 and 5.45 grams of acidity. The 2024s seem to have more structure, probably thinking about a longer life in bottle for this vintage, which was challenging for some but not for them. It rained a lot at the end of the harvest, but the vines became rehydrated, and they felt they were more balanced. 12,500 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2025.
Una garnacha suave y afrutada, excelente para cualquier momento.
