Il

est élaboré à partir de merlot, de cabernet sauvignon, de cabernet franc et de petit verdot, un coupage classique qui donne un vin rouge au palais avec une bonne concentration de fruits rouges et noirs, frais, juteux et persistant

Nez
Intense, aromatique et expressif. Il offre des arômes de myrtille et de fruits des bois, accompagnés de notes de graphite et de noix, ainsi qu'une subtile minéralité.

Puissant, corsé, tout en étant équilibré et élégant.

Il est recommandé de servir à 16 °C.

Description
Vignobles situés à l'ouest du village de Potensac, occupant un double cuvette d'argile et de gravier qui abrite les meilleurs terroirs de la région.

Maritime. Pour le domaine, l'année 2022 a probablement été l'une des meilleures de ces 20 dernières années.

James Suckling:

One of the best ever with super currants, mint, mineral and iodine. Crushed stones. Medium- to full-bodied, it has wonderful caressing tannins that run the length of the wine. A real Potensac, cabernet-driven, that goes on for minutes. 43% cabernet sauvignon, 36.5% merlot, 19.5% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot. Drink after 2028 but already fantastic and one of the best values of the vintage.

Decanter:

Fragranced, black bramble fruit, so scented and aromatic. Crystalline pure fruit, blackcurrants, cherries and plums, with grippy, but super fine and fresh tannins and balanced acidity. You get the structure - wide, firm, so refined in terms of tannic impression, they're at the fore but so discerning and integrated, really supportive and help to focus the wine from start to finish. Precise and sleek, agile yet concentrated with a lovely cool and juicy core alongside graphite and pencil lead touches. Powerful but polished and ageable. A great buy. 1% Petit Verdot completes the blend. 3.64pH. 82 IPT.

Falstaff:

Deep dark ruby garnet, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate rim brightening. Fresh cherries, liquorice, tobacco nuances, orange zest in the background. Complex, taut, tightly meshed, dark wild berries, vivid tannins, mineral, still a bit shy on the finish, will benefit from ageing.

The Wine Advocate:

One of the sleepers of the vintage is the 2022 Potensac, a dense, concentrated wine redolent of crème de cassis, cigar wrapper and pencil shavings. Medium to full-bodied, layered and youthfully structured, this will reward a bit of patience.
