Description

The Wine Advocate:

"They didn't produce wine from the 2012 vintage in Toro, so I jumped to the 2013 Paydos, a wine from a challenging year that seems to have produced a result of unusual elegance. This Tinta de Toro comes from nine hectares of 80-year-old vines in the village of Morales de Toro. It seems like this cooler vintage also marked a change in style towards more clarity, tension, focus and elegance within the natural powerful profile of the region, fermenting with part full clusters and indigenous yeasts, and using only one-third new barrels for the élevage of 13 months. This might very well be the most elegant and balanced wine from Toro from Alonso del Yerro so far. Elegant while keeping the power and fine tannins from the region. 5,300 bottles were filled in June 2015."
