La région de Rías Baixas produit également des vins rouges de grande qualité, comme ce Goliardo Rouge 2019, qui succède à l'ancien Bastión de la Luna. Il s'agit d'un coupage des cépages autochtones Caiño, Loureiro et Espadeiro, avec un petit pourcentage de Sousón.

The Wine Advocate:

The 2020 Goliardo Tinto shows a touch of rusticity. It's a blend of Caíño with some Espadeiro, Loureiro and a little Sousón. It's medium-bodied and has moderate ripeness and alcohol (12%) with lots of acidity, good freshness and fine tannins. 6,000 bottles were produced. It was bottled in January 2022, after one year in a combination of barrels and foudre.

Goliardo combines Caíño Tinto, Loureiro Tinto and Espadeiro from the Salnés Valley with a little Sousón from the warmer Condado do Tea sub-region. Juicy, pithy and refreshing, with lots of zip and energy, it's the kind of wine that's really enjoyable chilled, with redcurrant and pomegranate flavours and a green herb undertone. 2023-29
