Description
Fidèle à la philosophie d'Eremitas, Mateus explore l'expression pure du raisin Rabigato, laissant le terroir s'exprimer librement. Ce vin blanc, élaboré selon des pratiques écologiques et biodynamiques, provient de vignobles situés à 350 mètres d'altitude, sur des sols schisteux profonds. Le résultat est un vin frais et léger, aux notes d'agrumes délicates et à l'acidité équilibrée, parfait pour accompagner les apéritifs ou les fruits de mer.

It's a shame that the Rabigato whites from the terroir series are all from different vintages, and the age and climatic differences make them quite different—it would be great to taste the three wines from the same vintage. The 2022 Eremitas Antão do Deserto comes from a plot that is located on a south-facing and lower part of a schist slope at 350 meters in altitude, where the roots have better access to the water and the wine tends to be wider and fuller, which is amplified here by the very warm and dry conditions of the vintage. It has a more developed nose, with aromas of dry herbs, flowers, chamomile and a balsamic touch and a tasty palate with pungent flavors and a rounder mouthfeel. It has higher ripeness, 13.5% alcohol and a pH of 3.45. Like the other wines in the Eremitas range, this is also vinified in concrete with indigenous yeasts and aged for two winters. 700 bottles were filled in March 2024.
