Con una nombre e imagen rompedores nacidos de la admiración de Oxer Bastegieta por Shakespeare, este coupage aglutina seis variedades blancas distintas cultivadas en viñedos viejos de Rioja Alavesa. La frescura y la elegancia son dos de sus principales credenciales, junto a una marcada mineralidad.

Description
Viñedos muy viejos de Rioja Alavesa ubicados a altitudes de 600 metros trabajados de manera orgánica con agricultura regenerativa y máximo respeto por el entorno.

Arcillo-calcáreo.
Rendement
Sobre los de 3.000 kilogramos por hectárea.
Vinification
Prensado directo de racimo entero, fermentación alcohólica con levaduras indígenas en depósitos de inoxidable, buscando previamente una hiperoxidación a la hora de prensar. Posteriormente el vino se pasa a barricas usadas de roble francés de 600 litros donde termina de fermentar, con maloláctica incluida.
Elevage
10 meses de crianza en barricas de roble francés de 600 litros.

There's now a white Kalamity. The 2022 Kalamity White, produced with grapes from the same vineyards as the red Kalamity, plus a young vineyard planted with a massal selection, is mostly Garnacha Blanca and Maturana Blanca—the final wine is approximately 60% Viura, 10% Calagraño, and the rest is a mixture of Torrontés, Garnacha Blanca, Maturana Blanca and Malvasía Riojana. The full clusters were pressed, and the juice was fermented with indigenous yeasts and went through 10 months of aging in 600-liter French oak barrels. It has a subtle and delicate nose, with notes of white flowers and fruit, wild herbs and a touch of pollen. The palate is medium-bodied, fine-boned and velvety, with very good freshness and balance and great purity of flavors. Not a shy white, it hits the scale at 14.5% alcohol but has a pH of 3.3.
