L'avis des experts
The first wine to be certified organic is the 2020 Corimbo, from a vintage that is riper and has more alcohol, and it shows more rusticity than the 2019 I tasted next to it. It has 14.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.7. It has some spiciness from the barrels, which should integrate with some more time in bottle. 76,920 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2022.
Quite a bit of fruit, with lustrous cherries, plums, hibiscus and a touch of spices. Tight-grained and sinewy on the palate, with a medium to full body and a very good finish. More bones than flesh here. Needs one more years to soften. - Zekun Shuai, Senior Editor.
Corimbo is effectively the second wine of Bodegas La Horra, made with fruit from organically farmed vineyards with an average age of 25 years. One of two vintages currently on the market, this 2020 is fresh, bright and well balanced, with subtle 20% new French oak, lots of minerality and zip, youthful plum and dark berry fruit and adroitly managed tannins. 2025-30
