L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate :

The 2024 La Casilla benefited from the precision in the harvest dates because of the low yields, so they had plenty of time to pick the grapes at their peak. It has lots of finesse and freshness, contained ripeness and 12.5% alcohol, keeping a pH of 3.58 and 5.8 grams of acidity. The grapes, 60% from limestone soils, 20% clay and limestone and 20% from stony soils, fermented with 100% full clusters and indigenous yeasts in 4,500-liter oak vats, where the wine matured for nine months. This is really elegant and balanced, with the more serious profile of the reds from the vintage, all of them overdelivering for the price asked. It's subtle and nuanced, floral and perfumed but whispering more than shouting, with notes of red cherries, very good freshness and refined tannins, making it fine-boned. 12,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2025.
