Quest 2019

The 2019 Quest is darker and riper than the 2020 I tasted next to it. 2019 was a warmer vintage, and the grapes achieved higher ripeness; the wine finished with 14.4% alcohol, giving it a more Mediterranean profile and more intense herbal notes but with a sense of heat that I didn't find in the 2020. It kept its character, the Bordeaux fine character, the poise and balance with freshness and purity but reflecting the character of the year. It has some spiciness and a faint touch of vanilla. 7,000 bottles and 50 magnums produced. It was bottled in August 2022. (Luis Gutiérrez)
