L'avis des experts

Tim Atkin:

An unusual blend of Merseguera, Malvasía and Tortonosi, this is a wine with lots of personality. It is citrussy with notes of orange and lemongrass while the palate is mineral, displaying an almost volcanic-like quality. Defined and flinty, there is a great pithy, saline finish. A racy and complex wine. 2024 - 2027

The Wine Advocate:

The young unoaked white 2023 La Vella was produced with 80% Merseguera and the rest Malvasía and Tortosí. It has an austere nose, with some herbal notes and hints of diesel, and a light to medium-bodied palate, clean, fresh and focused, with a chalky feeling. It has 12.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.3 and notable acidity, 6.8 grams. It's more serious and austere, more mineral. 15,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2024. (Luis Gutiérrez)
