The Wine Advocate:

The palest of the reds, the 2019 Jirón de Niebla, comes from vines in the north-facing paraje El Sotillo, a shady zone with sandy soils. It fermented with some 30% full clusters, as it was a year of good ripeness and the stems were ripe after a longer cycle because of the rain during the harvest. They did a longer cold soak (in general, in all the wines in 2019), as they had better conditions in the winery, and they fermented the grapes with indigenous yeasts and matured the wine exclusively in Flextank plastic eggs. It's a bright ruby color and has a nose of red berries (cherries and raspberries), spices and herbs. The palate is medium-bodied and has very fine tannins and juicy acidity, with very long, clean and focused flavors. Most reds show 13.5% alcohol, but here I feel more contained ripeness and a slower ripening of the grapes that achieved more aromatic and flavor complexity. 3,679 bottles were filled in May 2021.
