L'avis des experts
Aromas of salt, seaweed, kelp and dried lemon. Honeysuckle, too. Full body with lots of salt and mineral character, as well as pine needles, smoke and flint. Umami finish. A joint production from Portugal’s Dirk Niepoort and Barbadillo. Blend of different barrels and three years old. Drink now.
The 2025 bottling of the NV Manzanilla Solera Niepoort is from the Trinidad solera, the second bottling from the same selection of casks as the first bottling in 2024. It has a strong personality, and it feels older and has more complexity. It's creamy, with a lactic/cheesy touch and a lush texture, but it keeps its poise and has finesse and length with a classical bitter twist in the finish. It's quite approachable already. It was bottled in March 2025. 1,500 bottles produced. - Luis Gutiérrez.
