L'avis des experts

James Suckling:

A savory and juicy wine, showing berries, chocolate and some meat. Medium-bodied with creamy texture. A blend of 90% merlot and 10% cabernet franc.

Vinous:

The 2024 d'Aiguilhe offers an attractive mix of red-toned fruit, cinnamon, blood orange, new leather and rose petal. Medium in body, with vibrant freshness, d'Aiguilhe is a delight in 2024. All the elements are so nicely integrated.

Jeb Dunnuck:

A classic limestone expression from this terroir, the 2024 Château D'Aiguilhe has juicy red fruits, sappy, minty flowers, and chalky minerality. It's medium-bodied, has a pretty, elegant, silky mouthfeel, nicely integrated acidity, and a good finish.

Tim Atkin:

Quite leafy sappy fresh fruit aromas with some thyme and red berries. Juicy fruit on the palate with structured tannins and fresh acidity. A lean but fresh finish which will be very good in the short-to-mid term.

La Revue du Vin de France:

20 % de cabernet franc. Une belle attaque de bouche, toujours suave, un grain enrobant. Cœur de bouche un peu léger. Deux foudres ont désormais intégré l’élevage pour diminuer les sensations boisées.

Falstaff:

Dark ruby, purple reflections, broad rim brightening. Delicately smoky, red cherry fruit with herbal and savoury undertones, nuances of currant. Light-footed, red berry, fresh structure, lemon salty touch, a stimulating food companion.
