L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

The village red from Laguardia 2019 Las Viñas de Eusebio was produced with a blend of Tempranillo with 15% Graciano fermented with 20% full clusters and matured in a combination of 225-, 300-, 500- and 600-liter oak barrels, 15% of them new, for a period of 28 months. For Rivière, this follows the style of 2016, perhaps with a little more volume; it's complex and polished with fine tannins and a seamless palate. It has a slightly iron-like note that made it austere, and it has an earthy touch in the palate. A serious wine that will see the last vintage in 2020. 5,500 bottles were filled in February 2022.

Tim Atkin:

Olivier Rivière combines grapes from three parcels in Elciego, Laguardia and Leza, aged between 40 and 70 years old, to produce this impressive assemblage of Tempranillo with 20% Graciano. Chalky and fresh, especially for a wine with 14.5% alcohol, this is earthy, structured and savoury with bramble, plum and red berry fruit. 2024-31.
