Dr. Loosen Blue Slate Dry 2023

The 2023 Riesling Trocken Blauschiefer (a.k.a. Blue Slate Dry) is precise, fresh and flinty on the nose that reveals clear, bright and intense fruit with slate oil aromas. Dense and juicy on the palate, this is a mouth-filling and round, very charming Riesling with a complex minerality and texture. The finish is long, finely tannic, savory and stimulatingly saline. This is a gorgeous estate wine! Bottled in 12% stated alcohol. Screw cap. Tasted in December 2024.

The effusive white peach, citrus and blossom aromas make this a very easy dry Mosel riesling to enjoy. Crisp and playful, this barely medium-bodied beauty is mightily refreshing and invigorating. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
