Description
Le Grenache et le Mourvèdre qui composent ce vin proviennent de vignobles situés dans la région d’Almansa, entre 700 et 1 000 mètres d’altitude, plantés sur des sols sableux reposant sur une forte assise calcaire. Le résultat est un rouge à la robe profonde, intense et charnue, offrant néanmoins une belle fraîcheur et une complexité remarquable.

The 2023 La Atalaya del Camino was produced with a blend of 85% Garnacha Tintorera and 15% Monastrell from 45+-year-old, dry-farmed vines fermented separately in 10,000-liter stainless steel vats and matured in French oak barrels for 12 months. This is very oaky—the oakiest of the reds here—toasty, creamy, spicy and smoky, with a core of very ripe fruit. It comes in at 14.5% alcohol, with a pH of 3.76 and 6.3 grams of acidity and tons of tannins. Will it come into balance with time in the bottle? 45,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2025.

Love this wine. For serious wine drinkers. Deep taste and color. Powerful yet the berries are there. Love it.
