The Wine Advocate:

They have also resumed producing two single vineyards from small plots that were produced in the past but were never widely distributed. In fact, earlier vintages of the 2013 San Juan were sold exclusively in Puerto Rico, as the name is the same as its capital city. It comes from seven micro-plots that total some 0.47 hectares planted with ancient vines (estimated to be 140 years of age). In this cool and wet vintage, the wine "only" achieved 13.8% alcohol. The vines are biodynamically farmed, and the grapes fermented in 1,000-liter stainless steel vats with indigenous yeasts. It matured in second use French oak barrels for 20 months. It's the most perfumed and showy of the 2013s, with an almost Pinot Noir perfume. It probably has the better nose of the range, with an elegant palate. Truly impressive. Only 561 bottles were filled in September 2015. The price has not yet been decided for this or for the 2013 La Roza.
