There's more complexity in the 2012 Crianza, dark-colored with a very peppery nose, some dark aromas (peat, graphite, licorice) and ripe black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied, with balanced tannins and moderate acidity. It could do with a little more freshness that would make it feel livelier. Clean and nicely crafted in a good commercial way, the blend contains not only Tempranillo but also 10% Garnacha and the wine matured in French oak for one year before bottling into 70,000 bottles in November 2014.
