Muros Antigos Avesso 2016

"The 2015 Avesso "Muros Antigos Escolha" is the first vintage of this brand (although not the first Avesso from Mendes). As with the others in this series, the grape name is mostly on the back label (although if you look closely, it is printed vertically on the side of the front label). The front label, rather confusingly, looks similar to the others in this brand. In any event, this is a super debut. Full bodied for this region, this has depth and power to spare. Showing grip and penetration on the finish, it nicely supports its fine fruit. It's a super Vinho Verde and an even better bargain".
