Cráter 2015

The 2015 Cráter is certainly a lot less oaky and extracted, resembling more of the character of the local grapes, Listán Negro and Negramoll, and the volcanic soils of Tacoronte-Acentejo in Tenerife than in the past. The wine is a lot more delicate and aromatic, with a medium-bodied palate displaying fine tannins and good freshness. It aged in French oak barrels for six months. It's not terribly complex; it still feels quite young and primary, but it's very pleasant to drink. It feels like a great improvement over previous years. This is a year when they got better quantity and quality for Negramoll. 10,000 bottles produced.
