L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

The 2017 Beira Int. (as in "Interior") is not a Vinho Verde, obviously. It is from the subregion of Cova da Beira. It is an 80/20 blend of Síria and Fonte Cal aged for nine months in used French oak. The vines here are at about 600 meters and almost centenarian in age. Beautifully focused and elegant, yet still seeming substantial, this is not overly intense, but it does have some subtle power. Nicely done, this is a refined and serious table wine. It is nicely crafted. It could, if I had a quibble, use a bit more intensity, but perhaps that will come in time. This is only the second vintage. It comes in at 13% alcohol.
