Coming from a northeast-facing Nussberg vineyard on shell limestone, the 2016 Wiener Gemischter Satz Nussberg Ried Weissleiten opens with a super clear, fresh and dusty lemony nose of crushed limestone and limes. Full-bodied, fresh and piquant on the palate, this is a powerful, dense and complex field blend made from Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris as well as Welschriesling that were all picked and fermented together. The 2016 is highly elegant and very salty on the long and persistent finish. It is a stunning wine full of grip and tension!" Tasted in June 2017. - Stephan Reinhardt.
