L'avis des experts

Tim Atkin:

Pairing Tempranillo with 25% Garnacha and 5% Viura, Coupage uses grapes from the same venerable parcel as Tom Puyaubert's La Mimbrera Graciano. A wine that looks to northern Italy and Georgia rather than his native France, it's an intense, grippy, chewy red with bramble and damson flavours and lots of crunchy acidity. 2024-35

The Wine Advocate:

The traditional red blend 2021 La Mimbrera was produced with 70% Tempranillo, 25% Garnacha and 5% Viura. In 2020, he managed to purchase the adjacent plot, so the volume has grown, which is good for availability but also makes it easier to vinify and age, even if it's an integral vinification and aging in 225-liter oak barrels. The wine has ripeness, nuance, balance and elegance, and it's clean and precise, very much in the house style, with some dusty tannins and a chalky sensation. Great balance and aging potential, I think. 1,000 bottles were filled in April 2023. - Luis Gutiérrez.
