L'avis des experts

Decanter:

Light, fresh and fragrant, nicely scented and open, expressive and generous on the nose. Masy and lovely texture, filling but also quite juicy and fresh. Tannins are at the fore, they fill the mouth but with a fun friendliness, no harshness at all. Supple, but lean and clean, a purity to the expression which is lovely. Will be so easy to drink when bottled still with clear underlying power and concentration. I love the licks of liquorice and stone. Aged 12 months, 21% in new oak barrels. Harvest 13 September - 30 September. HVE certified.

James Suckling:

Pretty center core of fruit with currant and spice character. Orange peel as well. Medium body. Firm tannins and a bright finish. Nicely polished and constructed.

Jeb Dunnuck:

The 2022 Château Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac has a pretty, medium-bodied, nicely balanced and textured style to go with classy red and black cherry-like fruits, some chocolaty, herbal, earthy nuances, ripe tannins, and notable balance. It's a rock-solid effort.
