L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

The 2022 A Senda Vermella was produced with 57% Mencía, 24% Espadeiro and 19% Caíño, and despite the pale color, it's probably the darkest of the 2022 reds. It's spicy, floral, aromatic and light, with 10.1% alcohol. It is fresh and tasty, with a vibrant palate that feels quite stony. 4,041 bottles and 40 magnums produced. It was bottled in July 2023.

James Suckling:

This is fragrant with notes of pepper and dried flowers. Medium-bodied with silky, dissolved tannins, plenty of tension, pronounced freshness and a pleasant, ethereal finish. This is a blend of 57% mencía, 24% caino and 19% espadeiro. Fermented with 100% whole clusters and aged for nine months in a combination of chestnut, oak and vats. Drink now.

Tim Atkin:

"We don’t have a destemmer. We sold it," says Alberto Nanclares, who makes this savoury,
whole bunch-fermented red with a blend of Mencía, 24% Espadeiro and 19% Caíño Tinto.
Green and earthy, with notes of petrichor and beetroot, spicy tannins and a mineral
cranberry core. 2024-28
