Dalva Porto Colheita 1994

The 1994 Colheita Tawny Port Dalva is a field blend coming in with 120 grams per liter of residual sugar. It is clean, easy and elegant, but as nice as it is, I'd prefer the NV 20 year tawny (a similar age) this issue. That has a bit more pop, power and complexity, while this doesn't seem quite as concentrated. This still does a nice job, full of caramel and flavor, and it expands nicely in the glass, too, exceeding the first impression I had. They are both well worth a look.
