Versos de Valtuille La Vitoriana 2021

The 2021 Valtuille La Vitoriana comes from a plot in one of the oldest and north-facing parts of the village, centenary vines with the Mencía-based classical field blend of the zone on clay soils. It fermented in two 1,000-liter vats with 15% full clusters and indigenous yeasts and matured in two well-seasoned 500-liter French oak barrels. It has 13.5% alcohol and integrated acidity, nicely balanced and elegant. It has an impressive nose of violets and is very perfumed, showy and extroverted, with the coolness of a north-facing plot in the vineyard. But it's also serious and proportioned, very clean and harmonious. It's medium-bodied and really fine-boned. This is my favorite here today.
