L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

Bright and with spicy flavors and aromas of rather white than yellow fruits, lychees and cloves on the nose opens the 2013 Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Kessler. Rich and piquant on the pure, densely woven and firmly structured palate this semi-sweet 13.2% alcohol Gewurz balances its 50 grams of residual sweetness very well and develops an incisive mineral and salty finish. “With 4 or 5 months the wine fermented quite long for Gewurztraminer," says Jean Dirler adding that there was almost no noble rot in the vineyard (in contrast to 2014). However, the 2013 ended up as a great wine personality. -Stephane Reinhardt.
