Description

Cristom Eileen Vineyard Pinot Noir 2015 porte le nom de la co-fondatrice de Cristom, Eileen Gerrie, mère du propriétaire de la seconde génération viticultrice Tom Gerrie. Comme tous les Cristom Pinot Noirs, ce vin a été élaboré à partir de levures natives. Bien que trois cinquièmes du vin provienne d’un élevage en jeune chêne, l’arôme final n’en est pas affecté. Aucune note ni accent fort qui rappelle le bois n’est apprécié. Il est intense et minéral, avec des notes de framboise sylvestre et présente une belle structure.

Like all the Cristom Pinot Noirs, this was made with native yeasts and a significant amount of whole clusters. Although three fifths new oak was used, it has had little affect on the aroma, with no noticeable toast or caramel accents. It's tight and minerally, with wild raspberry fruit and a steely frame.
