Vinification
Tri manuel et optique des raisins. Vinification dans des cuves thermorégulées en béton, en bois et en acier inox avec remontages variables selon les lots. Pendant la fermentation alcoolique, la température est de 25 °C et la durée de cuvaison varie entre 18 et 28 jours. Pressurage pneumatique horizontal.
Elevage
Rouge crianza en fûts de chêne, dont 60 % neufs et 40 % d'un an.

James Suckling:

This is very structured and intense with blackberries, currants, walnuts and chocolate. Fresh tobacco as well. Full-bodied, it has lovely fruit and a flavorful finish. A succulent and juicy red. One of the best ever from here. Leave it alone for two or three years. Best after 2028.

The Wine Advocate:

The 2022 du Tertre has realized the potential it showed from barrel, offering up complex aromas of cassis, plums, pencil shavings and violets, followed by a medium to full-bodied, layered and velvety palate that's rich and textural, with lively acids, powdery tannins and a long, delicately minty finish. It's an unusual blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, which no doubt contributes to its singular style.

Wine Enthusiast:

This classed growth estate has produced a balanced wine. Its tannins are already just right; the density of the wine is contrasted with the acidity. It's a wine with a fine future.

Decanter:

Bright and vibrant, lightly textured, more streamlined and linear than plush but the fruit has concentration and this has lovely freshness from start to finish. Some tension gives it the strictness but also the definition and detail. Well made but the softer acidity means it's missing a little persistence, there's no faulting the precision and focus throughout however. Harvest 8 September - 19 October. 3.6pH. Ageing in French oak, 60% new, 40% one year old. 5% Petit Verdot completes the blend.
