"The 2012 Arpegio is pure Mencía from old vines on the Bibei sub-zone fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats and aged in French oak barrels for nine months. This is the top end Mencía, which seems to have more stuffing and complexity along with creamy notes intermixed with strawberries and a herbal twist. The palate is medium-bodied with low-ish acidity and could do with some more freshness. It's still a very good Mencía, though. 1,300 bottles were produced".
