L'avis des experts

James Suckling:

Intense nose of volatile dried sultanas, straw, honeyed apricots, sweet pineapple and dried mangoes. Sweet, almost luscious on the palate, with bright acidity that manages to counterbalance the sweetness. Lush and concentrated but also zippy. Drink now or hold.

Tim Atkin:

This comparatively small volume release of just 6,000 bottles uses grapes from two parcels in Castrelo and one in Dena. Barrel-fermented in one-third new oak, it's a toasty, vanilla and cinnamon spicy number with plenty of underlying old-vine concentration and a tangy, mineral-etched finish. 2023-27

Decanter:

Toasty oak, creamy, honey and sweet fruit on the nose. Full, round, fleshy texture, the oak is very well-judged, the finish is full and very ripe with refreshing acidity.
