L'avis des experts

Tim Atkin:

Sínodo's brilliant Viñedo Singular blend of Tempranillo and 1% Garnacha comes from a 1916 parcel in Uruñuela close to Cenicero. Aged in new and third-use French barrels, it's a scented, complex, polished red from these three young oenologists, with silky, graceful tannins, bramble and blackberry fruit and wonderful freshness and palate length. 2024-35

The Wine Advocate:

The 2019 Sínodo Raposeras is a Viñedo Singular, a centenary plot of Tempranillo in the Raposeras quarter of Uruñuela bordering Cenicero, a small vineyard that is handled organically but is not certified (a constant in their vineyards). The grapes ripened thoroughly, and the wine displays a complex palette of aromas, floral, fruit-driven and spicy. The wine is juicy with velvety tannins and some chalkiness in the finish. This is nicely balanced and should age well. There were only three barrels that delivered 693 bottles. It was bottled in September 2020.
