L'avis des experts
The 2022 Beaujolais-Villages Jean Baptiste Bererd is derived from old vines that are some of the last to be harvested, with 60% of the fruit destemmed. On the nose, the wine takes time to reveal all of its layers with primary notes of wild blackberries, black gooseberries and violet extract that slowly give way to deeper notes of black licorice, exotic spices and bay leaves. The wine has a medium to full body with a concentration that is properly supplemented by its ripe acids and latticed chalky tannins that will gracefully integrate over time. Like on the nose, the wine gains complexity toward the finish. It's a wine of both precision and depth.
This is crunchy and tangy, showing notes of raspberries, currants, citrus peel and crushed stone. It’s medium-bodied, bright and precise with a mineral finish. Try now or from 2025.

Quite reductive on the nose but enough fruit to fight through the funk. Good spine. medium finish.
Gran decepción. No hay por donde cogerlo.
