The Wine Advocate:
There's a little more wine (one 500-liter barrel) of the 2017 El Llano than there was of the 2016, and even if 2017 was warm and dry and the harvest was early, this wine feels fresher than the 2016, and it's lower in alcohol. This fermented with 30% full clusters and macerated for 15 days, and it feels looser in the 500-liter barrel, more relaxed, expressive and round. This is always the first plot to be harvested, in 2017 it was the 14th of August, which is not normal at all. 560 bottles were filled in December 2018. This should develop nicely in bottle.
