James Suckling:
A firm and tannic gran reserva with blackberry, dark-chocolate and vanilla aromas and flavors. Medium-to full-bodied with chewy tannins that are polished and intense. Needs time to soften. Try after 2023.

Surprisingly deep in colour for a 2013 Rioja, most of which reflect the rain-influenced dilution of the vintage, but this French oak-aged blend of Tempranillo with 10% Graciano and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon is serious and focused, with some further ageing potential, and wellintegrated wood, acidity and damson and blackberry fruit. 2022-27
