The Wine Advocate:

The whole 1955 range (which is a fictional number and not a vintage year) has a second bottling, so I tasted the second bottling of the NV 1955 Palo Cortado Solera Cincuentenario. It's a very old wine bottled at 22% alcohol, 7.9 grams of acidity (tartaric) and 4.16 grams of sugar—think concentration through old age. There is an extra degree of finesse and complexity in this wine compared to the Oloroso or some younger Palo Cortado. It combines power with elegance and notes of old wine with the energy of a younger one. It's sharper than the Oloroso and mellower than the Amontillado. This is the saca 1/2018, with 250 bottles.
