Ochoa Corazón de Finca Montijo 2014

Finca Montijo is Ochoa’s oldest vineyard in Olite and is the source of this Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%). The wine spends 12 months in high quality French and American barrels but the key here is time in bottle before release. Plummy with red pepper spicy notes, this is still very young with obvious tannin and a grainy, woody texture but this is built for long ageing and will evolve beautifully in the coming years.
