The Wine Advocate:

I love the meaty nose of the 2017 Vigno, a Cariñena with a level of nuance and elegance that is difficult to find in the variety. 2017 was an extremely challenging year: The field right next to the vineyard was on fire, so the grapes surely caught the smoke. They had to work very hard to avoid the smoke in the wine; there is only a very subtle touch of merken and smoked bacon. It's spicy and a little peppery, with a vibrant palate with unreal parameters of acidity, electric and long. It was harvested earlier than ever (and the year they got less grapes), and the strategy clearly worked. There is purity, elegance and floral characteristics that are really captivating. Bravo! This is a triumph over the conditions of the year. 3,132 bottles were filled in July 2019.
