L'avis des experts

Wine Advocate:

The aromatic, floral and showy 2018 Las Cruces Old Vine Series is the best year for this field blend that is harvested when the Malbec (approximately 75% of the blend) is ripe, and in 2018, it was extremely precise. At this point in time, the 15th of March, the Carmenere was quite green, and it seems to have added a lot of spark on the palate and a spicy touch. This is a serious, balanced and deep red blend, with very fine, refined tannins. There is a sensation of energy, inner power and elegance. This is hands-down the best vintage for Las Cruces. 4,824 bottles were filled in October 2019.

Suckling:

A full-bodied red with aromas of plum, peach pit, thyme, eucalyptus, charcoal, chocolate orange and walnut husk. Creamy, polished and seamless with velvety tannins and succulent layers of fragrant spice and fruit. So pure and transparent. 75% malbec and 25% carmenere. Drink now or hold.
