L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

The single-vineyard Tempranillo 2016 Horcajo shows better-integrated oak than the Malabrigo from the same vintage. It feels like the cooler year has produced a more balanced and fresher wine with a good balance between ripeness and freshness, power and elegance. It's full-bodied, with integrated acidity and abundant, slightly dusty tannins. 3,000 bottles were filled in May 2019.

James Suckling:

This has a complex nose of caraway seeds, charcuterie, soy sauce, mulberries and spiced plums. It’s full-bodied, rich and spicy, with firm but integrated tannins. Long and opulent. Drink or hold.

Wine Spectator:

This black-cherry-colored wine has aromas of cassis, blackberry and caramel. It is smooth at first sip, with flavors of black currant, cherry pie, clove, toffee and a touch of saddle leather. Plush tannins slowly build in volume and drift off into a spicy finish.
