L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

Even more floral and fragrant than the regular bottling, the 2019 Cotes du Rhone Villages Saint Maurice Echevin Guillaume de Rouville en 1589 (normally a blend of 95% Syrah and 5% Grenache) was submitted as a prebottling sample. Overflowing with violets, cracked pepper, sinewy herbs and purple raspberries, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety in texture and looks to be a real stunner for drinking over the next decade.

Decanter:

Liquorice and blackberry, very fresh and vibrant. Well balanced, super lively and juicy. Plenty of strict tannin, but ripe. This is perfectly balanced, with oak in check. Outstanding, the best vintage of this wine I've tasted. Should be very good value. From a Named Village appellation with just three producers next to Vinsobres. Biodynamic.
