The Wine Advocate:

The 2023 Parcela Casablanca comes from one single vineyard, one they have considered to be at the top of the hierarchy in their classification of the places within their vineyards, an east-facing plot within the Valdiruela Valley on the way toward the moorland, from which they selected only 0.9 hectares, the part higher in altitude (884 meters). This is a place with more limestone ("casablanca" means "white house," and refers to a house in the zone that was built with the white mother rock from the zone). They work in the vineyards to achieve ripeness, development of aromas and flavors and keep moderate alcohol (this has 13.4%). It's perfumed, precise and pure, with a mixture of berries, herbs and flowers; it's finer-boned, and there's more austerity and more chalkiness in the tannins, let's say more mineral if you like. The tannins are very fine, and the wine comes through as elegant, pure and harmonious. Given the limited production, this matured exclusively in a 2,200-liter oak vat. 2,886 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2025.
