Ce vin est entièrement élaboré à partir d'un sublime Grenache, qui vient d'un seul vignoble à Ábalos, dans la Rioja Alta. Très variétal, avec ses arômes classiques de fruits rouges et son acidité équilibrée, c'est un vin fait pour ceux qui aiment les rouges fluides, ceux dont chaque verre est une sensation rafraîchissante pleine de fruit.&nbsp

Dégustation

Vue
Couleur rouge intense, super claire et brillante, avec une robe moyennement haute.
Nez
Cépage typique, super fruité et avec une bonne intensité aromatique. Il a plein de notes de fruits rouges, comme la myrtille et la cerise.
Bouche
Attaque fluide et fraîche, super savoureux, avec des tanins bien travaillés et une bonne longueur en bouche.
Température de service
On recommande de le servir à 16 °C.

Vignoble et élaboration

Description
Issu d'une seule parcelle en pente à 600 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer.

Vignoble planté en 1967.

Sol argileux, pas très profond.

Les pluies sont bien réparties tout au long de l'année.
Vendanges
Vendange manuelle le 25 septembre 2022.
Vinification
Fermentation dans des cuves ouvertes avec pigeage.
Elevage
Rouge crianza de 12 mois en fût de chêne français de 500 litres.
Embouteillage
Après stabilisation, la mise en bouteille a eu lieu en février 2024.

The varietal 2022 Garnacha has 14% alcohol, which is moderate for the variety, and in a very warm and dry year, they managed an incredible pH of 3.26 and 6.6 grams of acidity. It comes from two vineyards, one in Ábalos and the other one in San Vicente, planted 57 and 60 years ago, respectively. The destemmed but uncrushed grapes fermented in open tanks with 14 days of maceration, and the wine matured in 500-liter barrels and 390-liter oak eggs for 10 months. It has a serious, nuanced and insinuating nose that is elegant and balanced. They consider 2022 a balanced year for the grape; the fruit was very healthy, and the tannins are fine-grained, without the rusticity or grip I've seen in other places. It makes it very drinkable. This is a Garnacha of finesse. 3,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2024.

Such a scented, bright and racy garnacha that also has an exotic flowery touch. Brambly and minerally, with freshly crushed raspberries, strawberries and minerals. So elegant and delicate in essence, but the flavors are intense. Chalky tannins and juicy red berries throughout. It is the fruit brightness that is talking here. Irresistible now, but can hold.
