So much tension and fine layering in this light-bodied but detailed and elegant wine. It has chalky, saline aromas and subtle Bosc pear, vanilla bean and cream notes on the palate. It gains depth and breadth in the glass, becoming luscious as you sip and lingering long in the finish. Drink or hold.

From a planting at Domaine de la Côte below the Memorious plot, the 2022 Chardonnay Romance is a fabulous wine. Its nose combines nuanced, oceanic lift with honeyed, rich decadence, qualities that fittingly introduce a punchy, dense, coiled palate whose tension unwinds into a beautiful long and layered finish that regenerates energy with impressive detail and clarity. It will be hard to avoid drinking now, but it will surely reward patience.
